Income-Based Pricing

Housing that fits your life.
Not the other way around.

We believe that you shouldn't have to choose between paying for housing and paying for groceries, healthcare, or education. Here is exactly how we calculate your costs.

30%

The Universal Affordability Standard

According to federal guidelines, housing is only considered "affordable" if it costs no more than 30% of a household's gross annual income. Traditional markets ignore this rule. Equalize America enforces it. Your monthly payment is strictly capped based on what you actually earn, protecting you from market spikes and gentrification.

How your rate is determined:

1

Submit Application & Verification

You apply through our secure portal, providing basic household information and a recent proof of income (like a pay stub or W2).

2

Income Assessment

Our team reviews your household size and total gross annual income. We cross-reference this with local Area Median Income (AMI) data to ensure fairness.

3

Your Capped Rate is Locked

We calculate your maximum monthly payment so it never exceeds 30% of your income. Because we are a non-profit, there are no hidden fees, surprise rent hikes, or profit-driven upcharges.
